Report: Pedagogical Practice
Initially, in the participant-observation stage I could identify certain recurrent issues rely on students' motivation and interactions. In the immersion phase, I have been able to face that situation and start thinking like a teacher, since I attempt to find information and assistant in pedagogy frameworks, as well as teachers' experiences.
From my point of view, the most significant experience I had was when I was in charge of a group alone. I recognised the importance of including encouraging activities, since if students are not interested, they will start disturbing the process. Hence, teacher should inquiry in innovative ways to create high-quality material, which need taking in mind students' needs. Contextualisation is as important factor at the moment of designing activities.
On the other hand, flexibility is as crucial factor to consider since material must be designed bases on students' needs and interest in order to be able to encourage students to be interested since complex activities tends to frustrate students, being opposite to flexibility.
Conclusion
Teacher Development course have provided a meaningful framework to argue that teacher through their practice can improve and contribute to educational field. Also, the study of methodologies to enhance pedagogical practice and the teacher's awareness before their job, since teacher development is focused on growing teacher understanding upon their practices and performance.
Teacher development strategies contribute to professionalise teacher performance, since those strategies required reflection and critical views before teaching practices. Such strategies cover peer-observation, critical incident and case analysis.
Pedagogical practice offers a wide range of opportunities for teacher development, as it is possible through it to observe the reality in educational environments what should encourage teacher to undertake actions to find solution through strategies such as action research, lesson reports, journals or record their own classes to pounder upon performance and issues.
Suggestion and Congratulations for the Course
From my point of view, Teacher Development course offered great opportunities to understand what teacher development is and what is its important in teacher career.
On the other hand, activities to apply in the practical site were well-designed, letting evidence the importance of pondering upon issues arose in class performances. The concept of cases analysis, from my point of view, must be developed for teacher, as it led educational entities to undertake investigation about how to improve learning and teaching process.
